Charlie Boy is at his peak ahead of his run in the $1 million Magic Millions 3YO Guineas at the Gold Coast this Saturday January 11, 2014.
Trainer Gerald Ryanis convinced that Charlie Boy is 100 per cent race fit going into the Magic Millions Day feature.
Charlie Boy will be first-up in the 2014 Magic Millions 3YO Guineas after having one trial at Rosehill on December 24, 2013, which he won.
Ryan admits his biggest concern is with the three-year-old’s attitude on the day.
“He pulled up terrific from the trial and his fitness is no problem,” Ryan said.
“But if the colty Charlie Boy turns up that can be a concern.
“Sometimes when he is like that he can be hard to get to the barriers.
“He’s right once he’s in there but before the race he can be a handful.”
Charlie Boy has won two of his nine race starts in total and has earned more than $299,000 in prize money during his horse racing career.
His biggest career win to date was the Group 2 Danehill Stakes, which he claimed first-up during the spring at Flemington on September 7, 2013.
Charlie Boy will be having his first race start in Queendland when he lines up for the 2014 Magic Millions 3YO Guineas this weekend.
