Five of the 14 horses are offering single figure odds in the betting market at Ladbrokes.com.au, led by Strawberry Boy at $3.70.

The six-year-old gelding has finished in the first three in all three of his starts this campaign and will get an ideal start from barrier one.

Will Strawberry Boy justify his favouritism and take out the 2015 Magic Millions Cup? Or is an upset on the cards from one of the nine runners with lucrative double figure odds?

Check out our betting tips for the race below to get a better understanding of some of the race heavyweights.

1st

#2 Strawberry Boy ($3.70)

The Chris Waller-trained Strawberry Boy has plenty of experience in black-type racing, finishing runner-up in the Group 3 Newmarket Handicap (1400m) and Group 3 Moonga Stakes (1400m) to name a few. The gelding is in great form this campaign after winning the Listed Ladies Day Cup (1400m) first up before scoring minor placings in both the Listed Festival Stakes (1500m) and Group 2 Villiers Stakes (1600m). He has placed in 14 of his 19 career starts and five of his seven 1400 metre starts. Will enjoy the inside run from barrier one with Damian Browne to ride.

2nd

#5 Saluter ($11)

Robert Heathcote’s Saluter is in-form after finishing in the first two in all five of his last starts, turning around end of the field performances in the Listed Spear Chief Quality (1500m) and a Benchmark 90 in Brisbane during May. The gelding has placed in five of his seven 1400 metre runs and will jump from barrier nine with Jim Byrne as hoop.

3rd

#6 Gundy Son ($17)

Punters looking for a lucrative outside betting prospect should consider the Tony Gollan-trained Gundy Son who is paying $17 to win or $4.90 to place. The nine-year-old gelding proved he still has what it takes when he scored the Listed Goldmarket Handicap (1300m) last Saturday. He will make the back-up on Saturday with Tegan Harrison in the saddle once again as they jump from barrier four.
