The 2012 Magic Million Classic is now only a couple of days away with the excitement building across the Gold Coast so it’s about time we jumped into a form guide.

Barriers have been set, tactics are being worked out and the crowds are getting pumped for what’s going to be a massive day of action.

The program is almost filled to capacity with only one or two races falling short of full representation.

The one we’re all waiting for though is the $2 million Magic Millions Classic and that’s well and truly filled to the brim.

There are a clear top three at the head of the betting though and punters are looking at this triplet ahead of all others.

In fact at online bookmaker Luxbet you’ll get $15 or more about any other runner in the 2012 Magic Millions Classic.

If you see the winner coming from here though check out our 2012 Magic Millions Classic form guide and try and split the difference.

Each one of them drew well so it’ll come down to fitness, class and pure speed on the Gold Coast this Saturday.

Bet with Luxbet to guarantee yourself the very best odds on whatever horse it is that you select.

At Luxbet now you’ll even have your first deposit matched with a free bet!

2012 Magic Millions Classic Form Guide

Driefontein – Luxbet Favourite

Holds narrow favouritism after coming up with a perfect draw with gate three. She’ll use this to roll forward and luck won’t be an issue for her at any stage. She showed up Sizzling last start and many are saying why wouldn’t she do it again. Nathan Berry is certain he’s on the verge of winning the race for a second straight year and if you want something guaranteed to give a sight this is the horse.

Sizzling – Luxbet Second Favourite

This horse has been the talk of the town for months but following two straight defeats he’s surely not a certainty as some previously though. Dreifontein got the better of him by a decent margin but he did have a pretty poor ride after drawing well wide. He’ll settle a lot better on Saturday and with Chris Munce in the saddle this horse should have every chance to unleash his famed closing sectional.

Amorino - Luxbet Third Favourite

The third of the top three but certainly not far away and one with plenty to like about. He’s another forward striding horse and from a likely start in six he’ll pull up a good spot for Jim Cassidy. He makes his own luck and has two solid victories to his name down south. Gerald Ryan has been happy with this colt all along, don’t be surprised if he’s there at the death.

The final field and barriers are now out for the 2012 Magic Millions Classic, the $2 million race that will bring the Gold Coast to a halt this Saturday January 14.

Such is the hype surrounding the 2012 Magic Millions carnival that hundreds of spectators flocked to this morning’s barrier draw, some in the know and some no doubt out of pure curiosity.

That’s the joy of racing though, it doesn’t matter whether you’re a first time punter or a 50 year veteran, everyone has the same chance to win when those gates fly open and everyone can share in that same little thrill.

Down to business though and for the top guns the barrier draw was all good.

Amorino picked up gate 8 with Sizzling in 6 and Dreifontein for Gai Waterhouse in 3.

Certainly no excuses for any of those horses or indeed their jockeys if they fail to live up to the mark.

As it stands in the early stages we can expect Dreifontein to certainly push forward from gate 3 with Noogoora Burr another likely pacemaker coming across from 12.

Alezan Thunder will also be pushed forward from 9 meaning there’ll be no shortage of pace in the race.

That’s not even taking into consideration those in outside stalls that may see no other option then taking the lead.

This plays perfectly into the hands of the likes of Sizzling who should be able to slot in behind them with ease and come off a hot tempo when they swing around the bend.

Check the situation out for yourself below with our full 2012 Magic Millions Classic final fields and barrier draw.

Make sure too you check out the updated odds across at Luxbet.

As you’d expect there’s not a lot of movement at the top with the favourites all drawing well but there could be plenty of value to be found judging by the long quotes of some well performed horse behind them.

Join Luxbet today and with the exclusive promo code BONUSBET you’ll score a free bet matching your initial deposit.

This Saturday the 2011 BMW Magic Millions Race Day will provide punters with the premier betting markets for the weekend, a cracker nine-race card scheduled for the Gold Coast track including the 2011 Magic Millions Cup.

Featuring a small but quality field of 10 gallopers, the $328,000 R.M. Williams Magic Millions Cup (1400m) betting markets and odds are currently lead by reigning Group 1 Epsom Handicap winner Captain Sonador.

Drawn ideally midfield in barrier five, Roger Milne’s Oakey-based Shamardal four-year-old Captain Sonador is coming off a brilliant win in the Listed Goldmarket Handicap (1300m) at the Gold Coast track on January 3 and should start at the top of the odds despite their hefty 60kg weight.

The top-class Magic Millions Cup field has a number of other genuine chances, five of which are at single-figure odds to cause an upset.

Second favourite at around $4.40 is Kelso Wood’s classy Danzero mare Zero Rock, followed by Sunshine Coast runner Facile Tigre coming off a last start win on New Year’s Day at the Gold Coast and weighted ideally with just 53kg.

Other early fancies include 2009 Magic Millions 2YO Classic winner Phelan Ready coming off a third to Captain Sonador here, the Howard Wilson-trained local Show A Heart four-year-old Fifteen Carat who also produced a good fourth place finish in the Goldmarket and David Payne’s Sydney raider Madibagold.

The complete 2011 R.M. Williams Magic Millions Cup final field and barrier draw is listed below, the race due to jump at 3:20pm (AEDST) as Race 5 on the Gold Coast card.

Ensure you get the absolute best range of betting odds and options for all the Gold Coast races this Saturday, January 15, by opening an account with Luxbet where all new customers that use the promo code BONUS400 get a free bet up to an incredible $400!

As the summer racing season in Queensland gets into full swing, the 2011 Magic Millions Carnival Race Day is set to run at the Gold Coast this Saturday January 15th featuring nine quality showdowns including the $1 million Magic Millions 3YO Guineas (1400m).

A capacity field of 16 starters plus five emergencies make up the 2011 Magic Millions 3YO Guineas final field making this a great race to get in on the betting action.

Top Drop is the pronounced favourite in the Magic Millions 3YO Guineas betting markets, the Gerald Ryan-trained Snitzel colt currently paying $4.40 to win through Luxbet drifting slightly from their opening quote of $4.20 after drawing wide with barrier 13.

Coming off a win over 1400m at Randwick on Boxing Day, Top Drop has been in excellent form this season also finishing an eye-catching second to Torio’s Quest in the Wyong Magic Millions 3YO on December 5.

Second favourite in the markets is Intencion at $5.50 despite needing two of the final field to be scratched before gaining a start.

Just missing out on securing a spot in the Guineas due to insufficient prize money earned, Commands colt Intencion has drifted slightly from their original price of $5.

In an open field, there are four other runners at single-figure odds in the Magic Millions Guineas odds including equal $7.50 third favourites Torio’s Quest and Celtic Dancer drawn in barriers 21 and 1 respectively.

American Crew has seen strong support in from $10 to $9 at Luxbet, the Chris Waller-trained gelding one of the interstate runners that could possibly miss the race day at the Gold Coast due to transportation issues related to road closures and flooding.

A top chance to cause an upset is #13 Demanding Miss, a big market mover firming into $9 after opening at $11.

Drawn well in barrier four, the Barry Baldwin-trained filly Demanding Miss is a locally based Eagle Farm runner coming off a successful campaign in Sydney who also ran third to Military Rose in the 2010 Magic Millions 2YO Classic here last season.

Other double-figure roughies that are in good form to finish in the money and add to those exotic payouts include Gai Waterhouse’s More Than Ready colt Brightexpectations ($15) and local Danzero three-year-old Startsmeup ($10).

The biggest race of the season in Queensland is set to run at the Gold Coast Racecourse this Saturday, January 15, as the 2011 Magic Millions 2YO Classic takes place as part of a cracker nine-event programme for the Gold Coast Magic Millions Race Day.

An esteemed 1200m sprint for two-year-old Magic Millions graduates, the $2 million BMW Magic Millions 2YO Classic final field features 21 acceptors, made up of 16 guaranteed starters and five emergencies, and lead by early favourite Karuta Queen.

Currently paying $3.20, in from their opening quote of $3.30 at Luxbet, the Neville Layt-trained Not A Single Doubt filly Karuta Queen is out to maintain her unbeaten record of three wins from three starts on Saturday.

Due to jump from barrier 10, moving into seven if the emergencies don’t gain a start, Karuta Queen will be having her first start since taking out the Wyong Magic Millions 2YO Classic on December 5.

In the present Magic Millions 2YO Classic betting markets there are just three other runners at single-figure odds to win.

Pepper Jet is the current $5.50 second elect, the Eagle Farm-based Jet Spur colt also unbeaten having won both of their career starts and drawn well in barrier four. There have been some concerns that Pepper Jet is not in peak fitness, however, suffering from some bruising to their near fore foot due to an abscess.

Schiffer has remained steady in the market at their quote of $6.50, Gerald Ryan’s last start winning Snitzel filly a live chance if they can get to the Gold Coast after finding trouble travelling to Queensland from Sydney due to road closures and flooding.

Wonderful You has also drawn well in barrier six, sitting at $8.50 in the Magic Millions Classic odds, the two-year-old General Nediym gelding representing Kelso Wood and coming off a game second to Military Grace in the Listed B.J. McLachlan Stakes (1200m) at Doomben on Boxing Day.

Gillian Heinrich’s Military Grace is also set to back up in the Classic on Saturday, the super consistent filly a top chance despite drawing wide with barrier 18. A proven wet tracker that can handle the waterlogged surface at the Gold Coast, Military Grace is at $10 through Luxbet after drifting out from $8.50 following the allocation of gates.

Another good longer priced runner in the Magic Millions 2YO Classic field that could cause an upset or finish in the money adding value to the Trifecta markets is Heinrich’s other contender Internal Revenue in gate two paying a very generous $21 to win through Luxbet, in from $26, and $6 to Place.

The 2011 BMW Magic Millions 2YO Classic is due to run as the Gold Coast Race 7 on Saturday, jumping at 4:40pm (AEDST).

View the complete betting odds and options for the feature showdown as well as for the day’s other highlights including the $1 million Magic Millions 3YO Guineas at the Tabcorp-owned Luxbet now!

16 horses plus four emergencies have been paid up for the set weights sprint feature including last start winner of the $150,000 Listed Gosford Guineas (1200m), Latin News.

Trained by legendary mentor Bart Cummings, the son of Hussonet is one of a number of classy interstate raiders hoping to snare victory from the locals.

Latin News has been very impressive over his short career winning three and placing in two of his six career starts but has drawn wide for Saturday in the far outside barrier presenting him with his biggest challenge.

Another talented interstate runner is the Chris Waller-trained Stryker from Sydney. The Fastnet Rock colt ran a gallant fourth to Ortensia last start in the Group 1 The Galaxy (1100m) and despite drawing out wide in the Guineas, is still a top chance with Jim Cassidy aboard.

Some of the best local hopes in the Gold Coast Guineas include Swiss Rose trained by Magic Millions winning mentor Gillian Heinrich, and the in-form Sequalo gelding Tierqualo.

Also run at the Gold Coast on Saturday is the highly anticipated $300,000 Group 2 Hollindale Stakes (1800m).

The Gold Coast Guineas is first up running as race six followed directly after by race seven, the Hollindale Stakes.
